The fighting men and women of the Imperial Navy are called upon for many tasks, from garrisoning void ports to escorting the Navigator elite. The bravest and most daring of their ilk are selected for the Breacher teams – the blunt hammer at the head of a Navy boarding assault. Trained in close-quarters combat and equipped with a range of specialist equipment, these bold boarders smash apart anything in their way under a hail of shotgun fire, grenades, and axe blows.
Experienced leaders and expert fighters both, Sergeants-at-Arms lead their Breacher teams from the front and devise battle-winning strategies in the heat of combat.
While technically intended for breaking down doors and obstacles in the Breacher team’s path, Navis Axejacks soon learn that their heavy two-handed axes are equally effective at splitting skulls.
Moving quicky through ships is a vital skill for Breacher teams, and Navis Hatchcutters are the final word in slicing through stubborn doors and hatches – or sealing them up again should the enemy give chase.
With little room to manoeuvre in the confines of a void ship, Breachers often take cover behind Navis Endurants, who carry specialised shotguns built to be fired through a gap in their massive shields.
Even the average Navy Armsman is a hard-nosed fighter backed up by fully sealed void armour, years of intensive training, and the ironclad support of their fellow Navis Breachers.
C.A.T. Units are rugged, expendable machines, equipped with sensors and pict-capture devices to grant their handlers advanced warning of hazards and enemy operatives.
In concert with their C.A.T. Units, Navis Surveyors scout ahead of Breacher teams to locate critical objectives and enemy ambushers long before their comrades are in danger.
Often the largest members of their teams, Navis Gunners carry ferocious plasma, melta, and auto-las weapons to blast through bulkheads and enemy operatives alike.
Navis Void-Jammers use sophisticated electronic wargear to disrupt and distract enemy kill teams ahead of the Breacher team’s assault.
Hovering servo-skulls crafted from the heads of fallen comrades, Gheistskulls are fitted with an electro-magnetic pulse generator and a lump of good old-fashioned explosive – a deadly tool for a canny team.
